If I could use one word to describe myself it would be PASSIONATE. My musical journey started around 2001 after some very troubled and difficult times in my life. I decided to purchase a baby grand piano and use it as a form of escape and therapy, to vent the feelings and emotions that I had at the time. I really don’t know what I was thinking buying a piano, I had only been exposed to the piano when I was a child, and I didn’t know how to play. Little did I know that I would fall in love with it. I started out learning a couple of very difficult songs by my favorite pianist, David Lanz. I had no idea that my passion would grow into something so wonderful and powerful.
As I would sit at my piano, many times all night long, my own compositions started to flow. I began to realize (with much encouragement from my mother, Marge) that there was something to all of this. In 2003 I decided to follow my dream to Southern Utah, because of the surrounding beauty and desert like quality. The move turned out to be a good one. It opened up my creative mind and gave me the opportunity to pursue a career as a composer and a performing artist. As this is only the beginning, I hope that my music will keep on touching people in the very depths of their soul and spirit, and that I can continue to convey the passion that is in me, through my fingers and onto the keys. To this day, I have not learned to read music, and I do not know what the notes are. I truly do play by HEART.
